I've never thought that life modelling is just about staying still. For me, it’s about being an integral part of the creative process and helping artists bring their ideas to life. With over 25 years of experience as a life and nude male photographic model, I offer reliability, professionalism, and a real appreciation for figure art and expression.
I’m friendly, easy to work with, confident, and adaptable to different styles and poses. Whether it’s a short pose, technical study or something more expressive, I aim to create a relaxed and inspiring environment where your creativity can flow.
I welcome enquiries from complete beginners and first-time life drawers to amateur art groups, community sessions, and more experienced artists. No matter what your level, I aim to create a relaxed and supportive space where you can enjoy the process.

It’s a simple and relaxed process:
1. Getting in touch – Contact me with the date, time, location, and type of session you’d like (short gesture poses, longer studies, clothed or nude). If you’re unsure, I can help you plan the right format.
2. Confirming the details – We’ll agree on the session length (usually 2–4 hours), pose styles, and the environment. The space should be warm (ideally 21°C or above), private, and comfortably set up with a chair or cushion if needed. I’ll also confirm fees and payment options. For first-time clients at a distance, I may request a small deposit.
3. Booking confirmation – Once everything’s agreed, I’ll send a short message to confirm your booking.
4. On the day – I’ll arrive on time, bring my own robe and essentials, and discuss poses before we start. I’ll undress once the session begins and hold the agreed poses, taking brief breaks as needed.
5. Breaks – Sessions usually include a 5-minute break every 20–30 minutes. If you’d like adjustments to a pose, it’s best to mention them during a break or at the start of a new one.
6. Payment – Payment is made at the end of the session unless a deposit or advance payment has already been arranged. Cash or bank transfer is preferred.
7. Wrap-up – After the session, we can chat briefly about how it went and discuss future bookings if you wish.
I’ve been a life model for over 25 years, working with a wide range of artists and creative projects. From small community classes to large art workshops, private commissions, and one-to-one sessions with individual artists or couples, I’ve experienced almost every kind of setting.
I’ve posed for drawing, painting, and photography, adapting to many different artistic styles and approaches, from detailed anatomical studies, casual sketching to expressive, abstract work and erotic projects.
Whatever the medium, I bring confidence, reliability, and a genuine respect for the creative process. For me, life modelling isn’t just about holding a pose, it’s about becoming part of the dialogue between movement, light, and artistic expression.
I’m based on the east coast of Sutherland, in the far north Highlands of Scotland. I’m available for in-person life modelling sessions across Caithness, Sutherland, Easter Ross, and the Inverness area.
I’m happy to travel by car within a reasonable distance, and travel costs are outlined in my rates section.
Absolutely. Life drawing is for everyone, no matter your experience or skill level. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to develop your figure drawing, working with a life model is a great way to learn and improve.
Drawing a real person in a relaxed, private setting helps you understand the human form and gain confidence at your own pace. There’s no need to worry about being “good enough”. The goal is to explore, practice, and enjoy the process.
I’m happy to guide you through the session and tailor it to your needs, whether you’d like short poses for quick sketches or longer poses to focus on detail. It’s a supportive, non-judgmental space designed to help you grow as an artist.

I welcome enquiries from artists of all levels. Beginners, intermediates, and experienced professionals alike. At the moment, I’m only accepting bookings for private sittings with solo artists and couples, offering a more personal and focused creative environment.
Whatever your style or setting, I’m always enthusiastic about collaborating and helping bring your artistic vision to life. Feel free to get in touch with any enquiries. I offer a friendly, flexible approach to suit your needs.
A warm, private, and comfortable environment makes all the difference. Please ensure the room is at least 21°C (70°F). Warmer is even better so I can hold poses comfortably. A chair, cushions, or blanket for breaks are always appreciated, and a coffee or glass of water never goes amiss.
Choose a space with enough room for me to pose safely and for you (or the artists) to work with an unobstructed view. Good lighting is essential, natural light is ideal, but soft, diffused artificial light works well too.
For longer sessions, a sturdy chair or platform is helpful for seated or reclining poses. Most importantly, a calm, quiet atmosphere helps both of us focus on the creative process without distractions.
The session can be shaped entirely around your artistic goals. Whether you’re exploring gesture drawing, detailed long-pose studies, expressive portraits, or anatomy-focused work, we can plan poses that suit your style and experience.
Short, dynamic poses (around 5–10 minutes each) are great for capturing movement and energy, while longer poses (30 minutes or more) allow for refined studies of form, light, and shadow.
If you’d like close-up work, we can focus on areas such as the hands, face, torso, or genitals to help develop precision and detail.
I’m comfortable posing clothed, semi-clothed, or nude, depending on what you want to create. I also have experience in figurative, sensual, and erotic art, always approached with clear communication, mutual respect, and professionalism.
I enjoy variety and am adaptable to most artistic styles and themes, so please don’t hesitate to share your ideas. The aim is to collaborate on poses that inspire you while keeping the environment creative, comfortable, and sustainable for both of us.
Yes, my work often includes artistic projects that explore sensuality, eroticism, or sexual energy in a creative and respectful way. I believe these themes are a natural part of the human experience and can be expressed through life modelling with honesty and artistic intent.
I have many years of experience in this area and always approach such work with care, openness, and professionalism. These sessions are arranged in advance so we can discuss ideas, agree on boundaries, and make sure we both feel comfortable with the direction of the project.
If you’d like to explore this kind of work, I can provide examples of previous projects in this genre on request. I’m always happy to chat about your ideas and find the best way to bring them to life
Life modelling works best when it’s relaxed, respectful, and creative. I ask that sessions are approached with a friendly, professional attitude so we both feel comfortable and can enjoy the process.
Good communication makes all the difference. If you’d like to adjust the pose, timing, or lighting, just say. I’m easy-going and happy to adapt. It also helps to share your goals before we start, such as a particular pose, theme, or artistic focus, so the session runs smoothly and feels rewarding.
I’m comfortable with close-up work, including intimate or erotic studies, as long as these are discussed in advance. That way, we can agree on boundaries and ensure the atmosphere stays respectful and professional.
Most importantly, I want the session to feel collaborative, supportive, and inspiring. A space where creativity flows naturally for both of us.
Absolutely. You’re welcome to give polite directions or feedback about poses, and if you’d like to chat while you work, that’s perfectly fine too. Some artists prefer quiet focus, others enjoy a bit of conversation, and I’m comfortable with either. The goal is to keep things relaxed and natural so you can work in whatever way feels right for you.
It’s completely normal to feel a bit nervous, especially if you’ve never drawn a nude model before. The good news is that once you start focusing on your drawing, your attention shifts to the shapes, shadows, and proportions of the body, not the fact that it’s nude.
Life drawing is about studying the human form as art, and most people find their nerves fade quickly once they get into the rhythm. I’ve worked with artists of all experience levels, so there’s no need to feel self-conscious. I’m here to make the session relaxed and supportive.
If you ever feel uncomfortable, just say and we can take a short break. With time and practice, you’ll build confidence and find it feels completely natural. The aim is simply to enjoy the process and grow as an artist.
Life modelling is not my full-time job, but I’m quite flexible when it comes to bookings and can usually accommodate a variety of days and times (with enough notice.) Whether you’re looking for weekday or weekend sessions, I’m happy to work with your schedule to find a time that suits you. Just let me know in advance, and I’ll do my best to fit you in!
Feel free to reach out to discuss your preferred time, and we can arrange something that works for both of us. I’m always happy to make things work!
Photography is usually not allowed unless we’ve discussed it beforehand and I’ve given my permission. I prefer to keep the focus on the art during the session, and it's always a good idea to check first if you're planning to take any photos. Just ask, and we can make sure everyone’s comfortable with the arrangement.
I’m currently available for individual and couple sittings, not group classes. Rates can be flexible depending on the type and number of sessions you book, and the distance I need to travel.
Session Fees
First hour: £35.
Additional hours: £25 per hour.
(Minimum booking: £35).

Within 20 miles of my address (each way): no additional cost.
