I've never thought that life modelling is just about staying still. For me, it’s about being an integral part of the creative process and helping artists bring their ideas to life. With over 25 years of experience as a life and nude male photographic model, I offer reliability, professionalism, and a real appreciation for figure art and expression.
I’m friendly, easy to work with, confident, and adaptable to different styles and poses. Whether it’s a short pose, technical study or something more expressive, I aim to create a relaxed and inspiring environment where your creativity can flow.
I welcome enquiries from complete beginners and first-time life drawers to amateur art groups, community sessions, and more experienced artists. No matter what your level, I aim to create a relaxed and supportive space where you can enjoy the process.

It’s simple! Here’s how the process usually goes:
1. Initial Contact – You reach out to me, including details like the date, time, location, and type of session (e.g., short gesture poses, long poses, clothed or nude). If you’re unsure about anything, I can help guide you.
2. Discussing the Details – I'll confirm my availability and discuss important factors such as:
3. The Booking Confirmation – Once we agree on the details, a confirmation message will be sent to you.
4. On the Day of the Session – I'll arrive on time, bring my own robe and any necessary supplies, and be ready to discuss poses before starting. I'll undress when the session begins and hold the agreed poses, taking short breaks as needed.
5. Breaks & Communication – Life modeling can be physically demanding, so sessions typically include a 5-minute break every 20–30 minutes. If you need pose adjustments, it’s best to mention them during a break or at the start of a new pose.
6. Payment – Payment is usually made at the beginning of the session, unless a deposit or advance payment was agreed upon. Cash or bank transfer is preferred.
7. Wrap-Up – Once the session ends, I'll get dressed, and you can briefly discuss how it went. If you’re happy with the experience, you can ask about booking me again for future sessions!
With 25 years of experience as a life model, I’ve had the privilege of working with a vast range of artists and creative projects. From intimate beginner classes in small communities to large-scale art workshops, private commissions, and collaborative sessions with solo artists, couples, and hobbyists, my journey has been as diverse as the art itself.
I’ve posed for drawing, painting, and photography, adapting to different artistic styles, mediums, and visions. Whether it's the precise study of anatomy or the expressive freedom of abstract interpretation, I bring confidence, reliability, and a deep respect for the creative process to every session. My experience has taught me that life modeling is not just about holding a pose—it’s about being part of something bigger: the conversation between movement, light, and artistic expression.

Absolutely! Life drawing is for everyone, regardless of skill level. Whether you're a beginner just starting out or an experienced artist looking to practice, booking a life model is a fantastic way to improve your figure drawing. As a beginner, having the opportunity to draw a real person and study the human form in a relaxed, private setting can be incredibly helpful and inspiring. You don’t need to worry about being “good enough” – the goal is to learn and grow, and working with a life model will help you develop your skills at your own pace. I’m here to guide you through the process, and we can tailor the session to your specific needs, whether that’s short poses for quick sketches or longer poses to focus on detail. Don’t be shy—give it a try! It’s a great way to build confidence and experience in a supportive, non-judgmental environment. I’m happy to work with beginners and help you along the way!
It would be very much appreciated if you could make preparations before my arrival for a comfortable, warm environment. Please ensure the room temperature is a minimum 21C (70F), although the warmer the better! A chair, cushions, blanket and maybe a coffee to stay warm and comfortable during breaks would be lovely!

I offer a wide range of life modelling sessions and welcome enquiries from artists of all levels. Whether you're a beginner, intermediate, or advanced artist, I am happy to collaborate with group classes or offer tailored one-to-one sessions. I enjoy working with small beginner groups, where I can help guide the creative process and offer a comfortable, supportive atmosphere.
In addition to group sessions, I also offer private modelling for solo artists and couples, providing a more intimate and focused environment for creativity. I am particularly open to working with community groups, colleges, and charity organisations, and I’m always excited to connect with artists from diverse backgrounds.
I also welcome collaboration opportunities with artists around the world, offering remote sessions via Zoom. No matter the location or style, I’m enthusiastic about creating together and bringing artistic visions to life.

A warm, private space is essential for a comfortable and productive session. If you're hosting a session at home or in a studio, make sure there’s enough room for me to pose comfortably, as well as space for the artists to work and have a clear view of me. For longer poses, it's helpful to provide a sturdy chair or platform for seated or reclining positions, ensuring Il can maintain my pose without discomfort. Good lighting is crucial too—natural light is ideal, but soft, diffused artificial lighting can also work well. Keep in mind that the room should be kept at a minimum temperature of 21°C (70°F) to ensure I stay warm and comfortable, especially during longer sessions. For beginners, creating a calm, quiet environment with adequate space and temperature will allow both you and I to focus on the artistic process without distractions.
The type of poses you choose depends on what you want to practice. Short, dynamic poses (10–30 minutes) are excellent for gesture drawing, helping you capture the essence of movement and the energy of the figure. These are great for warming up or improving your speed and fluidity. Longer poses (30+ minutes) are ideal for focusing on more detailed studies, allowing you to examine the subtleties of form, light, and shadow.
If you’re interested in exploring more intimate or close-up studies, you can request poses that highlight specific areas of the body, such as the hands, face, torso, and genitals. These types of poses can give you the opportunity to hone in on finer details and create more focused, expressive works of art.
For those working in genres such as figurative or even more sensual art, tasteful and elegant poses can also be arranged. It’s important to discuss your vision with me ahead of time so I understand your goals and comfort levels. The key is always to approach these poses with respect for boundaries and professionalism.
In any case, the variety of poses is limitless, and I’m happy to collaborate with you to ensure the session suits your artistic objectives. Whether you're looking for action-filled movement, expressive portraits, or carefully composed figure studies, the session can be tailored to your needs while maintaining a respectful and artistic environment.
I enjoy a wide range of poses and am adaptable to different artistic styles and needs. I’m comfortable with both short, dynamic poses and longer, more sustained ones. My goal is always to provide variety and create poses that help capture the essence of the artwork.
I am happy to pose in a variety of ways, including clothed, semi-clothed, and totally nude, depending on the needs of the session. I also welcome close-up work, such as anatomy-focused poses, and I am open to erotic interpretation where appropriate.
That said, I believe in maintaining a balance of comfort and creativity during sessions. While I’m happy to try most poses, I may require occasional short breaks for personal comfort, so I always aim to work within what feels sustainable for me while still offering a range of interesting and dynamic options for the artist.
If you have specific poses or themes in mind, I’m more than happy to discuss them in advance to ensure we can make the session both enjoyable and productive.
I believe that life modeling is a collaborative and respectful process, so I ask that artists approach the session with a professional and considerate attitude. My main expectations are focused on creating a comfortable and positive environment for both the model and the artist to thrive.
In terms of guidelines, I kindly request that artists respect any personal boundaries and maintain an open line of communication if any adjustments are needed during the session, whether that’s with the pose, timing, or atmosphere.
It’s also helpful if the artist is clear about any specific goals or focus areas for the session, whether it’s a particular pose, angle, or artistic theme. This allows us to make the most of the time together and ensure the session is productive and enjoyable.
I’m happy to pose for close-up work, including capturing intimacy, and selective erotica, but I do ask that clients discuss these requirements with me beforehand so we can ensure we’re both comfortable with the direction of the session.
Ultimately, I’m here to support the artistic process, and I’m happy to work closely with the artist to achieve the best results.
It’s fine to give polite instructions about poses. Sessions can vary—some groups prefer a quiet environment with minimal conversation, focusing solely on pose instructions, while private one-on-one or couples' sessions may welcome more interaction. It’s entirely up to you and I to set the tone for the session.
It’s completely normal to feel a bit nervous or awkward at first, especially if you’ve never drawn a nude model before. The good news is that, as soon as you start focusing on your drawing, you’ll shift your attention to the shapes, shadows, and proportions of the human form, rather than the fact that the model is nude. Life drawing is all about studying the body as a work of art, and once you get into the rhythm of drawing, your nerves will likely fade away. Models are professionals and are used to working with artists of all levels, so there’s no need to feel self-conscious—I'm here to help you learn and grow. If you feel uncomfortable at any point, don’t hesitate to take a deep breath or ask for a short break. With practice, you’ll build confidence, and soon it’ll feel completely natural. Remember, the focus is on your growth as an artist, and it’s all about enjoying the process!
I’m quite flexible when it comes to bookings and can usually accommodate a variety of days and times (with enough notice.) Whether you’re looking for weekday or weekend sessions, I’m happy to work with your schedule to find a time that suits you. Just let me know in advance, and I’ll do my best to fit you in!
Feel free to reach out to discuss your preferred time, and we can arrange something that works for both of us. I’m always happy to make things work!
My rates are flexible and vary depending on the type of session and booking details. Whether it's a group class, a private one-to-one session, or a remote collaboration, I’d be happy to discuss your specific needs and provide a tailored price.
Photography is usually not allowed unless we’ve discussed it beforehand and I’ve given my permission. I prefer to keep the focus on the art during the session, and it's always a good idea to check first if you're planning to take any photos. Just ask, and we can make sure everyone’s comfortable with the arrangement!
